I know people say save yourself for another race, but they can also run at recovery pace and still be faster than a majority of people out there.

I love how the comment calls ML ego-centric and selfish. I see it quite the opposite, he came to race, and is fulfilling that for his sponsors. Like many other pro's i've seen who whine and drop out of a race where it's not going their way or they're having an "off" day.

Danny-my question to you is, are you confusing Michael Lovato with someone else, another pro perhaps that rubbed you the wrong way?? I know Michael personally and I can attest to the fact that he is absolutely, undoubtedly one of the NICEST, most "cheering for middle-back of the pack" people/pro's you will EVER meet.

His challenge to finish his race at Galveston is WHY HIS SPONSORS probably LOVE him. He's dedicated and proves that through anything he can work hard for a finish.

Additionally, he probably WAS cheering people who were running along with him!

Danny, he may be just a "pro" to you, but for those of us who are "middle of the packers" and have been on the other end having Michael cheer for us in races (as I have, several times)-----who know him, you're just completely mistaken in the type of person he is.

ML ROCKS :)Mer!https://www.blogger.com/profile/12268959283011627267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4117508586192062017.post-29100121701191414302011-04-18T15:51:26.070-05:002011-04-18T15:51:26.070-05:00I've always held a higher respect for the pros...I've always held a higher respect for the pros that will take the walk to finish the race instead of taking a DNF.
