Mont-Tremblant

Today I signed up for Ironman Mont-Tremblant.  It will be my second 140.6 race and it will happen on August 19th of 2012.  The course looks extremely difficult but last I checked Ironman wasn't supposed to be easy!

Go read Kevin's post on Ironman Tremblant as he describes it perfectly!  We have an awesome group of bloggers going and the only negative is that we have to wait 14 months to race.

Going to have to brush up on my French!  And when I say "brush up on"  I mean "learn a few key words".

Thanks for Reading,

Jeff

  1. Nice! Congrats.

I've already committed (mentally) to a late season iron next year, but MT looks like an awesome spot. Maybe 2013...

  12. That's amazing! I'm from Montreal and have been to MT many many times. If you are thinking of taking a weekend scoping out the course, consider one of the first weekends in June - there is a Sprint and Oly tri on at the time (I've done the Oly 2 years in a row, it's got a spectacular swim, a multiloop bike on their car racing circuit and a 10k run along the water). Here's the link to the race I'm talking about:

Take a long weekend, ride the course, do a cheeky sprint, eat some delicious chocolate in the village, what could be better???

  13. Key phrase:

puis-je avoir une bière s'il vous plaît

Or we can just get the une bière part

    CAN'T WAIT

  15. I can't wait! I might be more excited about the possible recon mission. Don't worry, they speak plenty of English and Beer and Wine are universal :)

  16. IMMT seems to be all the rage. No love for my fair city of Gotham. I'll be volunteering at IMNYC/NJ. You know you want to come to NY and "swim wit da fishes"!

  17. "Où est la toilette, s'il vous plaît?"

you'll need that one after that "bière" ;-)

It looks and sounds pretty cool!

  18. Since I am NOT in NYC I am going to have to analyze my whole 2012 schedule.
Hey, put in a good word for Team Trakkers for me and maybe I will do all REV races....

  19. Very Cool! It took me about 15 min to get past the countdown timer...I thought it would sell out. This will be WAY better than NYC. Thanks for links to "Ironman by Thirty" and "A Long Road". Very informative.

  20. Woohoo! That's awesome. You will do so well on that course--you'll come off all that Texas heat training and it will feel like a breath of fresh air up there to you.

  24. I can't wait to the see the Ironman. They rebuilt all roads in Mont-Tremblant, and now it's one of the best place for bicycle rides. You can see the Tremblant Ironman itinerary if you want to practice.

    Good luck for the race!!
