100 Push Up Challenge ... Week 4 (Half Way Point)

If you are checking in to see my Race Report for yesterday's Triathlon CLICK HERE

If you are checking in to see the Gun Show then look at this guy:

Boom .. That. Just. Happened.

My arms and shoulders didn't look this good before the PU Challenge.  No way.  The PU Challenge has been difficult but it is worth it because this sucker is getting results.  I have spoke with a bunch of you who are doing the challenge and are seeing excellent gains as well.  Keep up the great work and lets BRING IT for only 3 more weeks.

Here is the schedule for Week 4.  After this week you will need to do another "exhaustion test" to move into Week 5 so get yourself pumped up for an end of the week max!

I spent today planning my training schedule for the rest of the year while watching the Masters.  If you didn't get a little misty when Phil meet his family on the 18th then you are a robot.  And him winning on Tiger's big comeback bid made it even more special.  It is events like this that make me love sports!

Anyway, I will post up my training for the rest of the year sometime this week - got a lot going through my head and will need some advice from my blogger pals!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Thanks for Reading,

Jeff

  1. You remind me of the Terminator in that picture! For real!
Just printed out week 4 before you posted it. I had to do day 3 yesterday because my darn arm was still hurting after the botched blood draw on Wednesday. Looking forward to your rest of the year plan.

  2. I have started the 100 pushup challenge myself. I am up to W2D1 and am very scared after looking at how much you have done. Very scared. Not sure if my arms are up to it. But I guess the beauty of it all is that you can repeat it if you don't meet the quota. your looking great :)

  3. LOOK AT THOSE DELTS! You're looking great Jeff! Those are also swimming shoulders too, but that PU Challenge is bringing on the size and definition.

  4. i feel like my biceps have gotten more toned the most. it is tough! i used to do weeks 4 and 5 of this before, but currently i find myself having to finish out a few sets with KPU's instead of "real" ones. soo exhausting! do we report our new max at the end of the week?

  8. Nice pic! Your arms look great! I'm definitely getting some more definition in my arms too! The challenge is getting pretty tough. I'll try to keep up with it, but geez! Hopefully I can finish strong!

  9. Boomer did an exhaustion test yesterday and got to 94 reps!!!!!

That is freaking awesome! He stated with 68 reps so that is about a 10rep a week improvement. This is going to be a fun finish everyone!

We should do a "Gun Show" like someone suggested earlier. Everyone email me pic of your arms -- whatevr crazy pose you can think of and I will put up a post of nothing but 100 PU Challenge Guns!!!

  11. OMG just read your comment on my blog and you are totally correct. I thought about it after I wrote it and it doesn't matter. At the time (I wrote it over the weekend) I think I may have wanted a "reason" or excuse to why I was still the size I was. That's all it was really. But all the data (both correct and BS) gets so overwhelming... I just gotta do what I do and find what works for me.

    Thanks for pointing it out!

  12. Jeff, Great job on the race! And your arms look great. Now I'm really pumped about finishing the challenge. So are you going to only put pictures of the people who make it to 100 push ups in one set?

  18. Pretty impressive results from those push ups. As far as the snake, yeah, every stick for the next 3 miles was a snake. But I didn't think mentioning that made for good reading :)
